The grape variety Frappato gives a lightly flavoured wine that tastes mostly of cherry and redcurrant. There’s quite some sharpness to the taste so best to drink with food to balance the flavours. This is not quite a rosé or the usual red – it’s somewhere in-between. Label suggestion says to drink chilled but I prefer it at room temperature as too cool and the sharp flavours dominate.
