Produced in the Lugana region of Italy next to lake Garda. Which is a useful piece of information when looking for cheaper examples of this wine. Waitrose currently has this wine on offer at £16 (down from £18) while M&S has their own Lugana version at £14. It’s a lovely rich tasting white wine (creamy peach, butterscotch and honeysuckle with some balancing acidity of lime flavours) from a small wine region – hence the expensive bottle price. A lovely wine that deserves space on the table as a treat – perhaps Christmas?
